      A 45-year-old resident of Volodarsk lost four million rubles while trying to help a friend cash out investment income. Details of the incident were reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      - It all started when her friend asked for assistance with financial transactions. When the participants' bank accounts were blocked, fake employees of a brokerage firm convinced the woman that to unblock them, she needed to transfer her personal savings to third-party accounts, the statement said.

      However, this was not enough for the fraudsters. After extracting all her money, they persuaded the resident of Volodarsk to take out a loan of one million rubles. After she transferred this money to them as well, and access to the blocked accounts still did not appear, the woman realized she had become a victim of fraudsters. The total amount of damage exceeded four million rubles. Currently, a criminal case has been opened on this fact under the article "Fraud." The police are trying to find the culprits. At the same time, they urge residents of Nizhny Novgorod to be vigilant and not fall for the tricks of fraudsters.
