New asphalt has begun to be laid on the repaired section of Zvezdinka.

      The contractor has started laying asphalt on the repaired section of Zvezdinka Street in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the mayor Yuri Shalabaev in his MAX channel.

      The work is being carried out as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" on a section over a kilometer long from Maxim Gorky Square to Alexeyevskaya Street. The repairs began at the end of May. First, the old surface was removed, and then the replacement of manhole covers was started (this work is completed by 1/3). The curbs on the road and sidewalks are half ready.

      According to the mayor, the main work involving heavy machinery is carried out late in the evening and at night to avoid creating unnecessary disruptions. The schedule is being followed, and the bad weather this week has not made any adjustments.

      "The overall readiness percentage of all the roads we are repairing this year under the national project is approaching 50%. The first facility will soon be handed over - on Kuzbasskaya Street," the head of the city added.
