This was announced by the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the region, Igor Pantyukhin, at a press conference at the NNIIC on June 19, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent. According to him, this figure has decreased compared to last year, when the personnel demand was 59 thousand people. The minister noted that the region is among the subjects of Russia where a significant reduction in low-productivity jobs is planned in the coming years due to increased labor productivity.

      "By 2032, we will reduce about 280 thousand positions that are currently low-productivity. People will be able to perform inter-functional or cross-functional duties," said Pantyukhin.

      He also emphasized that one of the key groups for the labor market remains youth. According to the minister, in the next three to five years, young people aged 19 to 25 will be the only growing age cohort of the population. Pantyukhin added that in these conditions, the quality of personnel training, the development of the education system, and the ability of employers to consider the requests of young specialists become particularly important.
