The deadline for the completion of the repair and restoration work on the 10th building of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin has been moved to the upcoming winter. This was reported by the region's Minister of Culture, Natalia Sukhanova, on social media. The building in question is the cultural heritage site "Barracks of the Garrison Battalion." The repair of the facility is overseen by the regional Ministry of Culture. Natalia Sukhanova held a working meeting on-site. The contractor has completed a large volume of work on the installation of engineering networks: electrical networks, air conditioning and ventilation systems, and low-voltage networks. The floors in the building have been poured. The finishing work in the premises has been completed by 80%.
In addition, more than 100 wooden windows have been manufactured and installed, as well as entrance and interior doors. Glass partitions have been installed in the area where the working premises will be located, railings have been installed on the internal staircases, and finishing work in the restrooms has begun, Natalia Sukhanova reported. The contract for the repair and restoration of the building was signed back in 2023. However, the deadlines for the completion of the work have been repeatedly postponed. The regional authorities envision the building as a modern museum space in the future. It is planned that the premises will meet high standards.
