In the Nizhny Novgorod region, additional applications have begun for three grants for agribusiness.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has announced the start of additional selections for grants for the development of farming and the "Agroprogress" and "Agromotivator" grants. "Since 2026, the support system for small agribusiness in Russia has undergone significant changes. All previously fragmented measures for farmers and agricultural cooperatives have been consolidated within the framework of the new federal project 'Development of Small Agribusiness,' for which 365 million rubles are allocated in our region in 2026. These funds will be used for grant support, including 'Agrotourism,' and for subsidies to agricultural consumer cooperatives and farms," said Nikolai Denisov, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The "Agromotivator" grant, ranging from 3 to 7 million rubles, can be obtained by veterans of the SVO. The applicant must own or lease a land plot on which they are already engaged in agricultural production or plan to use it for these purposes. The allocated funds can be used to build, purchase, or renovate production and storage facilities and connect them to engineering networks, as well as to buy livestock, poultry, equipment, transport, and agricultural machinery.
Farms and individual entrepreneurs operating in rural areas and possessing land can apply for a grant for farm development ranging from 3 to 30 million rubles, depending on the amount of their own funds. Additionally, citizens planning to establish a peasant farm (KFH) can submit an application for a grant of up to 8 million rubles. The targeted use of the allocated funds includes the purchase of agricultural land, construction, purchase, or renovation of production and storage facilities, connecting objects to engineering communications, as well as the purchase of necessary equipment.
Under the "Agroprogress" grant, agricultural producers included in the register of small and medium-sized enterprises, excluding individual entrepreneurs, KFH, and LPH, are provided with financial support of up to 30 million rubles, but no more than 25% of the project cost. The funds can be directed towards the acquisition, construction, or modernization of facilities intended for the production, storage, processing, and sale of agricultural products, and for the purchase of machinery, transport, equipment, or breeding livestock and poultry.

To participate in the selections, the necessary documentation must be submitted in paper form to the agricultural management authority of the municipal formations at the location of the activity. Applications are accepted until July 12.
