The SK is investigating the incident involving a pregnant woman at the Nizhny Novgorod metro construction site.

      On June 18, 2026, at 09:49, Incidents The Investigative Committee began a procedural check regarding the incident that occurred at the construction site of the Nizhny Novgorod metro.

      Recall that on June 16, a part of the fence fell on a pregnant woman on Raduzhnaya Street, causing her injuries.

      Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the check, a procedural decision will be made.

      The general contractor of the project, JSC "Mosproject 3," attributed the incident to adverse weather conditions. Allegedly, strong winds damaged the shields with banners, which had high sail area.

      The fence has now been restored, and the decorative canvases have been dismantled to reduce the risk of a repeat situation. The company also stated that they will additionally check the reliability of all fastenings in the near future.

      The Municipal State Institution "GUMMiD" and the State Labor Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region have also initiated their checks.
