Beeline has organized an online number transfer to its network outside the home region.

On June 18, 2026, at 10:34, Beeline launched online registration for customers to switch to its network, for those whose place of residence and SIM card registration do not match. This tool is relevant for those who signed a communication contract in one region, then moved to another, and decided to change operators.

For example, a customer moved to Moscow but kept their number from an operator in St. Petersburg or any other region. While in the capital, the customer decided to switch to Beeline but retain their current number obtained in another city. Until now, it was not possible to register a switch online with a plastic SIM card if the number's region did not match the region where the person currently lives. This option previously only worked for e-SIMs. However, most devices do not support this SIM card form factor, so Beeline reworked the customer journey logic, which allowed them to remove such restrictions and make the switch to Beeline more convenient and accessible. Thanks to the new scenario, customers transferring their number from another operator and region to Beeline can also take advantage of special promotions and offers available in the digital environment.

Technically, it works like this: the customer visits the Beeline website, selects their geolocation based on their actual location, enters their number (from another operator), and places an order. The system beforehand shows an important nuance: the tariff will be applied according to the region of the transferred number. After placing the order, the customer goes to the selected Beeline office, receives a SIM card with a temporary number from the region of the transferred number, and then the standard transfer process begins.

Importantly, in the current scenario, the number's region does not change. If a person lives in Moscow but transfers a number from another operator in St. Petersburg to Beeline, they will receive a Beeline SIM card with the St. Petersburg region and the tariff of that region.

The launch of Beeline is a practical step towards a new market logic that the industry is currently actively preparing for. Starting September 1, 2026, a broader model of interregional MNP should come into effect in Russia. In this model, a subscriber will be able not only to switch to a new operator while in another region but also to change the number's region during the transfer process. The current Beeline scenario is not yet a full-fledged interregional MNP in the future regulatory sense, as it does not include changing the number's region, but it already removes one of the key customer restrictions in the online channel.
