      June 18, 2026 09:33 Incidents The State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region has begun an inspection following an incident where a construction barrier fell on a pregnant woman on Raduzhnaya Street. Recall that on the evening of June 16, the victim was heading to work along the barriers of a construction site where a future metro station is being built. Suddenly, elements of the temporary barrier, which were not properly secured, fell on her. The impact caused the woman to fall. Following the inspection, the Labor Inspectorate will assess the circumstances of the incident and determine whether there is a connection between this case and production. The contracting company "Mosproject 3" explained to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" that the cause of the incident was adverse weather conditions. After the incident, the barrier was restored, and decorative panels were dismantled to reduce the sail effect of the structure. In the near future, the contractor intends to additionally check all fastenings at the site. In addition to the Labor Inspectorate, the Municipal State Institution "GUMMiD" has initiated its own inspection. Specialists will assess whether safety regulations were followed at the construction site. If violations are found, the general contractor may face an administrative fine.
