      On June 16 and 17, a military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa 'Guard Route - Victory'" was held in the Nizhny Novgorod region for orphans, children left without parental care, and students of social rehabilitation centers for minors. This year, 11 teams from five regions of Russia participated in the game: Nizhny Novgorod region, Chuvash Republic, Mari El Republic, Mordovia Republic, and Tatarstan Republic. Nizhny Novgorod region was represented by five teams. The organizer was the social rehabilitation center for minors "Scarlet Sail" of the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod. The competitions took place at the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Guards Higher Military Engineering Command School named after Kovel. Over two days, participants underwent team challenges, including a militarized relay "Guard Route - Victory." Creative workshops "Regional Business Card," thematic master classes, and a song festival by the "Friendship Fire" were also organized. On the second day, there were demonstration performances and a review of specialized military equipment. As noted by the Minister of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Igor Sedykh, the game is aimed at developing teamwork skills, practical abilities, and interest in the history of the country among children. According to the results of the competitions, the first place was taken by the team of the social rehabilitation center for minors "Scarlet Sail" of the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod, the second place by the team of the social shelter for children and adolescents "Asyltash" (Republic of Tatarstan), and the third place by the team "Strezhis" of the Poretsky orphanage named after I.N. Ulyanov (Chuvash Republic). All participants received commemorative gifts.
