An additional 103 places are provided under a special quota for combat veterans, disabled individuals, and orphans. Earlier, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kravtsov, emphasized the importance of creating special conditions for veterans' admission. According to him, the existing mechanism allows heroes not to waste time and to transition more quickly from recovery to professional growth, while the education system flexibly responds to their requests, adapting curricula and ensuring an individual approach to training. Education provides SMO veterans with the opportunity to acquire a profession directly related to the upbringing of the younger generation and patriotic education of youth. As part of the "Priority 2030" program, additional qualifications have been developed for students, allowing them to lead initial military training clubs, organize sports sections, and thematic events.

      As noted by the rector of Minin University, Viktor Sdobnyakov, the university is ready to offer comprehensive support to such students. Individual study schedules, remote formats, priority rights for academic leave, and the preservation of dormitory places are provided for them. "Our experience shows that willpower turns any limitations into new opportunities," emphasized the rector, citing the example of Maxim Golubev, a participant in the SMO, who today heads the "Russian Victory" Patriotic Center and works as a social coordinator for the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund. Viktor Sdobnyakov also mentioned university graduate Alexander Minov, a psychologist by education and a combat veteran, who is currently preparing specialists to work with returning servicemen.
