Compared to last year, the total number of scooters used by the operators has decreased from 13,500 to 5,000. Additionally, this year the list of areas with high pedestrian traffic intensity where movement on SIM is completely prohibited has been expanded. Their number has increased from 19 to 25. In 2026, work on reviewing and supplementing the lists of areas with movement restrictions for SIM continues. In order to enhance the safety of road users, the administration of Nizhny Novgorod is gradually implementing measures to create bike lanes to separate pedestrian and SIM flows, the department added.
