Up to 3.2 million rubles have been increased for one-time payments to military personnel who have signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, one-time payments to defenders of the Fatherland who have signed contracts for military service with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have been increased to 3.2 million rubles. The changes to the Governor's decree of the Nizhny Novgorod region came into effect on June 15. The one-time financial support for military personnel in the amount of 3.2 million rubles is provided on the condition of signing a contract at the Nizhny Novgorod unified selection point and includes total payments from the region and local government in the amount of 2.8 million rubles and 400 thousand rubles from the Ministry of Defense of Russia. Monthly allowances of 210 thousand rubles from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are also provided for those stationed in the special military operation zone, along with a certificate for the provision of land from the Nizhny Novgorod region. The Governor's decree has also been amended to extend regional support measures to foreign citizens who have signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense, starting from June 15. Military social contracts in the region guarantee families of military personnel 10 thousand rubles per month for each child, a monthly payment of 10 thousand rubles for pregnant women, free vouchers to sanatorium-rehabilitation centers and children's health camps, priority free medical care, benefits for housing and utility payments, preschool services, and other types of support. Additionally, individual support for the family of the military personnel is provided. Furthermore, in 2026, a new type of social contract for demobilized participants of the special military operation was introduced in Russia, allowing for a payment of up to 350 thousand rubles for starting a business. The funds can be used for purchasing equipment, renting premises, buying raw materials, creating a website, and advertising.
