A resident of the Pilninsky district nearly died after setting a bathhouse on fire with gasoline.

      On June 16, 2026, at 17:58, incidents occurred in the village of Mozharov, in the Pilninsky district, where a trip to the bath almost turned fatal for an elderly woman. The alarming call to the fire department came when smoke had already begun to spread through the premises.

      As established by the investigators from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the cause was the fateful decision of the 66-year-old owner to light the stove using gasoline. The flammable liquid ignited instantly, and flames spread to the woman's clothing and skin.

      Thanks to the quick reaction of relatives who were nearby, the tragedy was averted. They quickly extinguished the fire and completely put out the blaze before professional firefighters arrived on the scene.

      The fire managed to destroy the finishing on an area of about two square meters.

      Currently, the victim has been taken to the Pilninskaya Central District Hospital. Medical staff are providing her with all necessary assistance, and the woman's condition is being clarified.
