Families of the participants of the Special Military Operation and teenagers from "Hooligan House" attended the stage of the Grand Prix RDS championship.
On June 16, 2026, at 18:27 Society Over the past weekend, a charity event for Nizhny Novgorod families of participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO) and kids from "Hooligan House" took place at the "Nizhny Novgorod Ring" racetrack. A tour of the racetrack and a meeting with pilots of the Russian Drift Series (RDS) were organized as part of the third stage of the RDS Grand Prix championship. Guests of the "Nizhny Novgorod Ring" watched the races, toured the pits and service park, sat behind the wheel of racing cars, and took photos for memories. "Last summer, kids from the orphanage visited during the tour; this year, two groups came to the 'Nizhny Novgorod Ring' — teenagers from 'Hooligan House' and families of SMO participants. They not only watched the competitions and went 'behind the scenes' of the races but also interacted with the pilots. We invite both teenagers and families of our heroes to various competitions to showcase the maximum opportunities that sports and a healthy lifestyle can offer. I thank the pilot of the Russian Drift Series, Arthur Zeleny, and his 'MK Aid Fund' for organizing such tours at the 'Nizhny Novgorod Ring' and for making these meetings a tradition," said Dmitry Kabailo, the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. "We are the first social racing team. We visit different cities and always collaborate with various funds. We always try to invite guests. Our priority is, of course, children, because they can 'ignite' with a new idea, a new sport, and be inspired by something," shared Arthur Zeleny. A total of 26 athletes from 16 regions of Russia and other countries participated in the third stage of the RDS Grand Prix competitions. The winner in the individual standings was Ilya Popov from the "Systeme Electric Obsessed Motorsport" team. Second place went to Sergey Kuznetsov from the "Fresh Racing" team. The top three was completed by the winner of the qualifying races, Timofey Dobrovolsky from the "Takayama Forward Auto" team. In the team standings, the "Systeme Electric Obsessed Motorsport" team took first place. Additionally, as part of the third stage of the RDS Grand Prix, another training camp for juniors was held at the "Nizhny Novgorod Ring" with the support of the Aimol Junior motorsport youth development program. 14-year-old Stepan Popov and 12-year-old Arseniy Tsaregradtsev, who became the winner, took to the track. He showed the best result in qualifying and then won all three junior duels. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
