      Ninth graders in the Nizhny Novgorod region took their elective exams on June 16, 2026. This was reported by the regional Minister of Education, Mikhail Puchkov, on his social media. On the same day, graduates took exams in English, biology, geography, computer science, history, literature, German, social studies, physics, French, and chemistry. Mikhail Puchkov noted that considering the students who, due to health reasons, took the state final exam instead of the OGE, the total number of participants was 29,721 across 206 exam venues. He also mentioned that the exams proceeded as planned; however, two students were removed for using cheat sheets: one from the geography exam and another from the social studies exam.
