The "Project Marathon" has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the educational program "Project Marathon" has started to implement a culture of lean management for young employees of executive authorities and their subordinate organizations, as well as local government bodies in the social sphere and industry, and employees of the Legislative Assembly. The opening ceremony took place at the "Academy Mayak" named after A.D. Sakharov. The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, noted that in the current economic situation, increasing labor productivity in all areas is of particular importance. According to him, more than 320 enterprises in the region are participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity," and over 350 social sphere institutions have joined the project since last year. Five regional industry competence centers have been created, which, together with KUPNO, have implemented 24 projects and trained more than 700 employees. The main goal of process optimization is to reduce the time of service delivery and improve service quality. The program presentation was conducted by Alexander Pleshkov, Project Manager of JSC "PSR" of the State Corporation "Rosatom." The program is being implemented as part of a partnership project between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the State Corporation "Rosatom," aimed at developing human resources potential and improving the quality of state and municipal services through the introduction of a culture of lean production. As a result of the selection, 610 young employees of executive authorities and their subordinate organizations, as well as local government bodies in the social sphere and industry, became participants in the program. According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the department oversees the implementation of the federal project "Labor Productivity" in the region. The operators of the project are federal and regional competence centers that provide targeted support to enterprises. Within the framework of the "Marathon of Practical Affairs," 50 young specialists from industrial enterprises in the region are participating in the project. The program includes practical training in lean production tools with the opportunity to implement projects at the workplace. The training consists of four modules: "Project Opening," "Diagnosis and Target State," "Implementation of Improvements," "Project Defense." The training will take place in an online format over 16 weeks, after which there will be a project defense before an expert commission.

      From 2019 to 2024, the national project "Labor Productivity" was in effect. Starting in 2025, by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, a federal project of the same name is being implemented as part of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Until 2025, the project primarily covered industry, and then it was expanded to all sectors of the economy and social sphere institutions. At the regional level, the project is overseen by Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov, with the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region (KUPNO) acting as the operator in the social sphere.
