Nizhny Novgorod authorities are suing the contractor for the improvement of Gorky Square.

      June 16, 2026 10:42 Society The administration of the Nizhny Novgorod district is suing the contracting organization responsible for the landscaping work in the Maxim Gorky Park. This was reported by the press service of the local government to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." The work to update the public space was carried out by LLC "Moscow Heritage" for the 800th anniversary of the city in 2021. According to the municipal contract signed, the warranty period for the completed repairs is valid until the end of 2026. In this regard, the company is obliged to maintain the park in proper condition; however, the organization is not fulfilling these requirements. After conducting claim work, representatives of the administration filed a lawsuit. According to this document, the contractor is compelled to carry out repair work within the framework of warranty obligations, as well as to pay a fine. The first court hearing took place on April 13 of this year. The case will be reviewed again in June.
