      In some regions of Russia, drivers have faced difficulties refueling their cars and limits on fuel purchases, but in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities does not observe a shortage of gasoline or diesel, reports "NewsRoom24".

      The geography of regions experiencing fuel availability issues is expanding. In several areas of the country, some gas stations temporarily closed or set limits on the dispensing of petroleum products ranging from 20 to 150 liters. In some cases, the situation has affected the price of gasoline and diesel in the retail market. Experts link the occurrences to increased demand during the season, rising exchange quotes, and reduced oil processing following attacks on refineries. Representatives of the regional Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities clarified that possible interruptions with certain types of fuel at some gas stations are explained by the logistics peculiarities of specific companies, rather than a general shortage in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Analyst Sergey Kaufman from FG "Finam" noted that the overall situation in the Russian fuel market reflects the state of affairs in the regions. In his opinion, the country's market is currently better prepared for potential difficulties than a year ago, which supports supply stability. The expert added that for the Nizhny Novgorod region, a key factor remains the uninterrupted operation of oil refining enterprises and the restoration of production volumes. "However, these measures are effective only up to a certain point - if the volume of oil processing decreases by more than 20% for several months, it will be physically difficult to avoid more significant supply interruptions, especially during periods of increased demand," says Sergey Kaufman. The specialist explained that the current market stability is ensured by export restrictions, repair work at refineries, supplies from Belarus, and the use of a damping mechanism. At the same time, these measures do not provide a complete guarantee against shortages if the industry situation worsens.

      

      

       Recall that by May 2026, prices for services in the Nizhny Novgorod region have increased the most significantly since the beginning of the year.
