A dispute between neighbors resulted in a year in a settlement colony in Bor.

      On June 15, 2026, at 16:19, Incidents: A man who struck his neighbor with a shovel handle has appeared in court in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reported the unified press service of the courts of general jurisdiction in the region. The incident occurred on June 22, 2024. At night, the accused was listening to loud music at his dacha. Displeased neighbors came to him demanding to lower the volume. During the conflict, the defendant struck one of the men on the shoulder with the shovel handle. The Nizhny Novgorod resident did not admit his guilt, claiming that he was defending his wife from the neighbor's attack and acted only within the limits of necessary self-defense. A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of harm to health). The court sentenced the man to one year in a settlement colony, as well as compensation for moral damage to the victim in the amount of 100,000 rubles.
