Nizhny Novgorod residents are left without an app for tracking transport.

      June 15, 2026 17:43 Society The mobile application "Nizhny Novgorod Region. Transport," which allowed residents of the region to track public transport movements, has ceased operation. This was reported by the Center for the Development of Transport Systems of the region in response to user inquiries. The CRTS explained that the service's operation was halted by the developer - the company "Datapax." The decision to discontinue the application was made unilaterally. As an alternative, passengers were advised to use the "Automated Passenger Information System," available on the CRTS website. The service allows users to receive information about the expected arrival times of transport at stops. However, some residents reported issues with this resource as well. In response, CRTS representatives stated that inaccuracies in displaying transport are related to failures in transmitting navigation data. Errors in determining the location of public transport, according to specialists, may arise due to unstable operation of navigation equipment and internet connection. Nizhny Novgorod residents were advised to use the "Yandex Maps" and "Yandex Navigator" services or to contact the call center at 422−28−25. The hotline operates daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
