Mingrad approved the master plan for the development of the territory of the former cinema "Electron".

      On June 15, 2026, at 16:09, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, the master plan for the comprehensive development of the area where the former cinema "Elektron" was located has been approved. Currently, regional authorities are continuing work on the draft agreement for the comprehensive redevelopment with the developer, reported NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" from the regional Ministry of Construction. The comprehensive development project covers a site within the boundaries of Tereshkova, Luganskaya streets, and Gagarin Avenue in the Prioksky district. The implementation of the initiative will be carried out at the proposal of the land plot owner. The master plan has already passed all necessary approvals at the regional headquarters. At this moment, the agreement for the comprehensive development of the area is still being coordinated. Last week, public discussions regarding the boundaries of the future comprehensive redevelopment project were completed. It is worth noting that "Elektron" on Gagarin Avenue was demolished in 2024. Prior to that, the facility ceased operations due to unprofitability. Soon, motorists turned the vacant lot where the cinema stood into an informal parking lot. A residential complex with a height of 21 floors was planned to be built on the freed-up site. The project also included an underground parking lot and a small two-hall cinema.
