      June 11, 2026 07:00 Economy The annual plan for revenue from the tourist tax in Nizhny Novgorod has been fulfilled by 15.6% in the first five months. A total of 31.2 million rubles has been transferred to the city budget. This data was published in the report on budget revenue execution on the "Open Budget" website. A total of 200 million rubles is planned for this revenue item in 2026. Recall that on November 26, the deputies of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma unanimously supported the introduction of the tourist tax. It came into effect on January 1, 2026, with a rate of 2%. By 2030, it will gradually increase to 5%. It was previously noted that in 2025, tourism brought 94 billion rubles to the Nizhny Novgorod region.
