Nizhny Novgorod residents are invited to the festival "Frolics of the Guests" on June 20.

On June 20, the XIII Interregional Festival of Folk Culture "Frolishchensky Guest" (6+) will take place in the village of Frolishchi in the Volodarsky district. This year, the festival will be held for the first time in the updated public space "Square by the Three Oaks," which won the ranking vote for landscaping in the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program in 2025. The festival program includes vibrant events from the world of Russian folk culture: — performances by the Archpriest Choir of the Vladimir Diocese, folklore ensembles, and folk art performers; — master classes from talented craftsmen of the region; — a themed fair of traditional crafts and author souvenirs; — a culinary food court with dishes from the national Russian cuisine, prepared according to ancient recipes. Special attention is given to the cultural and educational program in the territory of the Holy Assumption Florishchev Monastery, where festival participants can learn about the history of the monastery and the features of local culture. The honorary guests of the festival will be graduates of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music - the group "SADko," performers of a rich repertoire of folk songs. Admission to the "Frolishchensky Guest" festival is free. For the convenience of festival guests, Russian Railways will organize special transport services: a tourist train from Nizhny Novgorod to Frolishchi will depart on June 20 at 8:55 from the Moscow Railway Station and will make stops at the stations of Dzerzhinsk, Seyma, and Ilino, returning at 16:48 and arriving in Nizhny Novgorod at 19:45. The "Frolishchensky Guest" festival aims to preserve cultural identity in small settlements of the Russian Federation, traditions of good neighborliness and hospitality, as well as to enhance the attractiveness of the "Russian province," and is implemented within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."
