The Nizhny Novgorod region received six awards at the MVP Awards 2026. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government. The award ceremony for the tenth international award in the field of sports marketing and communications took place in Moscow on June 10. A total of 1,600 projects were submitted for the competition this year, 222 of which made it to the finals. The Nizhny Novgorod teams ANO "TSURS" and HC "Torpedo" received six awards — one gold, three silver, and two bronze. In addition to professional sports, the silver award in the category "Best Project for Promoting Sports and a Healthy Lifestyle" was awarded to the community "Women's Amateur Football of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." HC "Torpedo" won gold in the category "Best Club Television Work" for a series of promotional videos, as well as two silvers: for "Best Sponsorship Activation" — a series of anniversary matches with partner OMK — and for "Best Merchandise" — a joint collection of clothing "Place of Power" with the brand "Soul," dedicated to the new home arena of the club VOLGA Arena. ANO "TSURS" received silver in the category "Best Matchday" for the concept of the "Chemical Derby" — a home match of FC "Khimik" against FC "Amkar" and two bronzes — for "Best Game Kit Design" of the project "Together for Nizhny" and for "Best Project for Working with Young Audiences."
The bronze award for working with young audiences was received by the metaverse "Sports Nizhny Novgorod." The city became the first in Russia to create its own virtual world. The awards cover the entire spectrum of the teams' work — from club television and merchandise to sponsorship activations, matchday concepts, and digital projects — and confirm the recognition of Nizhny Novgorod's sports marketing at the federal level.
