A Nizhny Novgorod woman brutally killed an acquaintance using scissors and a shovel handle.

      On June 11, 2026, at 11:49, Incidents: A woman brutally killed an acquaintance out of jealousy in Pochinki, reported the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod Investigative Committee.

      The crime was committed in April 2026 in a house on Karl Marx Street. Two local residents had a quarrel while drinking alcohol. During the conflict, a 33-year-old woman, driven by jealousy, attacked her acquaintance armed with scissors, a shovel handle, and a rubber hose. She inflicted at least a hundred blows and also "committed other sexual acts." The Investigative Committee clarified that the victim suffered "particular suffering through mockery."

      The 27-year-old woman died on the spot. The Investigative Committee opened a case under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Intentional infliction of serious harm to health resulting in death by negligence" and under Part 1 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Other sexual acts."

      The suspect has been taken into custody. The case materials with the approved indictment from the prosecutor's office have been sent to court.

      Earlier, it was reported that a man from Balakhna, who brutally killed his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, was sent for compulsory treatment.
