A one-year-old child was injured in a large fire in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 9, 2026, 15:44 Incidents A large fire occurred in the Sormovsky district on the night of June 8, the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. The fire broke out in both apartments of a two-story house on Dubensky Lane. By the time firefighters arrived, the flames had engulfed the roof of the house and the attached garage. The fire spread over an area of 159 square meters. A one-year-old boy was injured—he suffered from smoke inhalation. The child was hospitalized in a children's regional hospital. Additionally, four other people were evacuated, including one child.

      Preliminarily, the fire's origin was located in the area where the boiler and electric boiler are situated. The circumstances of the incident will be investigated by fire inspectors.
