      Nizhny Novgorod region retained second place in the investment attractiveness ranking. The Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions shared second place in the National Ranking of the Investment Climate of Regions, compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in collaboration with leading business associations based on surveys of the entrepreneurial community. The results of the ranking were presented during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by the General Director of ASI, Svetlana Chupsheva. This year, regions were evaluated based on 88 indicators across eight areas, with over 500,000 entrepreneurs surveyed. The Nizhny Novgorod region has held second place for the third consecutive year. Governor Gleb Nikitin noted that the region's businesses are not only maintaining stability but are also ready to invest in their future. By the end of 2025, the volume of investments in fixed capital in the Nizhny Novgorod region amounted to 742.8 billion rubles. The government's priority area of work is the digitalization of the investment cycle.

      The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod region participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The delegation, led by Governor Gleb Nikitin, took part in the forum where several agreements were signed. A Nizhny Novgorod enterprise, part of the "Arnest" group, joined the governor's initiative to provide financial support to employees upon the birth of children. The charitable foundation of Sergey Kolesnikov will invest 400 million rubles in the construction of a sports hall for a ski school in Nizhny Novgorod and the improvement of the slopes of the Koshelevo ravine. DOM.RF will allocate 9.5 billion rubles for the development of communal infrastructure in Nizhny Novgorod and will also help update the fleet of communal, road, and agricultural machinery. The company "RusSilika" plans to create a scientific and technological center in the "N2O Technopark" special economic zone "Kulibin." Nizhny Novgorod producers will have more opportunities to promote their products in the "Pyaterochka," "Perekrestok," and "Chizhik" stores thanks to an agreement on social and environmental partnership between the Nizhny Novgorod region government and X5. Together with ON Media, the region is implementing projects to prevent social orphanhood.

      The "Zemsky Trainer" program has been launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Specialists in physical culture and sports can receive financial support of 1 million rubles under the "Zemsky Trainer" program. The funds will be allocated from the federal budget and can be directed to any purpose. For 2026, 44 quotas have been approved in the Nizhny Novgorod region under the "Zemsky Trainer" program. There are no age requirements for candidates to participate in the program. The population in the village or settlement where the trainer or instructor will work should not exceed 50,000 people. Applications for participation in the program are accepted by the Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod region until June 19, after which a ranking of candidates will be formed. Points are awarded for having a diploma with honors, work experience in physical culture and sports for over five years, additional vocational education, awards, sports titles, etc. A specialist who receives a payment under the "Zemsky Trainer" program must work in the organization with which they sign a contract for at least five years. In case of violation of this condition, the funds must be returned proportionally to the time worked.

      More than 300,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents voted for territories to be improved under the FCGS program. More than 300,000 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as of June 5, 2026, participated in the selection of territories for improvement under the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." Voting will end on June 12, after which the winning spaces will be determined for improvement in 2027. Governor Gleb Nikitin urged residents of the region not to miss the opportunity to transform their area and improve the appearance of the Nizhny Novgorod region as a whole. Voting can be done on the unified digital platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru.

      Nizhny Novgorod agrarians have begun harvesting fodder. It is planned to harvest 748,000 tons of silage, 641,000 tons of haylage, and 137,000 tons of hay. This will create a reliable feed reserve sufficient to support the region's livestock for the entire winter housing period. Agricultural enterprises are fully equipped with the necessary machinery for fodder harvesting. Fodder harvesting has begun in 17 municipalities, with 22,000 tons of haylage and 2,500 tons of silage already harvested. The spring sowing campaign continues: spring crops have been sown on 83%, covering 463,000 hectares, of which 303,000 hectares are spring grains.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center plans to employ about 8,000 teenagers this summer. The Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center "Work of Russia" plans to employ about 8,000 teenagers this summer under the temporary employment program. Last season, with the assistance of the employment service, over 7,000 teenagers aged 14 to 18 found jobs. Currently, the employment service has signed 174 contracts with employers, with 310 people already employed. During the summer holidays, teenagers can find jobs in manufacturing enterprises, healthcare institutions, cultural organizations, additional education and leisure facilities, as well as in municipal budget preschool and school institutions. The wage level for the temporary jobs offered by employers for teenagers in 2026 is 27,000 to 35,000 rubles.

      Nizhny Novgorod residents are invited to participate in the creative competition "Serafimovsky Gift." The project has become part of the humanitarian program "In the Name of St. Seraphim of Sarov," which is being implemented as part of the development of the pilgrimage and tourist cluster "Arzamas - Diveevo - Sarov." Authors over the age of 16 are invited to participate, whose creative and professional activities contribute to the preservation and transmission of traditional spiritual and moral values, strengthening civil unity and Russian identity based on the unifying role of Orthodoxy. Materials created in various creative forms are accepted for consideration: prose, poetry, journalism, television journalism, radio journalism, photo reports, video blogs, publications on social networks. Applications are accepted until October 1, 2026, on the website competitions.serafim.rf in the "Serafimovsky Gift" section.
