Trubnaya, Industrial, Paper: streets in the SEZ "Kulibin" have been named

      On June 8, 2026, at 15:00, Economy In Dzerzhinsk, five streets in the state area of the special economic zone "Kulibin" have been officially named. This was reported by the press service of the regional government. By the decree of the city administration, they have been named Instrumental, Polymer, Titanium, Pipe, and Paper. Some of them are already associated with existing and future productions. For instance, the company "Axis," which produces carbide metal-cutting tools, is located on Instrumental Street. The construction of a pipeline systems plant by NPP "Modern Pipeline Systems" is planned on Pipe Street. As noted by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yegor Polyakov, the state area occupies more than 416 hectares and constitutes a large part of the Dzerzhinsk section of the SEZ "Kulibin." "Assigning names to the streets makes this area more comfortable for visitors to the site," he noted. Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Development Corporation, added that infrastructure is actively being created on the state site, and the new names not only simplify navigation but also symbolically reflect the key areas of activity of the residents. The head of Dzerzhinsk, Mikhail Klinkov, called the emergence of its own streets an important stage in the development of the SEZ. He noted that a powerful infrastructure is being formed in the area, and new residents are starting operations. Currently, the Dzerzhinsk part of the SEZ "Kulibin" occupies 724.7 hectares. It includes a state area of 416.7 hectares, as well as private territories of DPO "Plastic," "Oka-Polymer," and "Synthesis OKA," which are already equipped with ready infrastructure. In November 2025, the Russian government decided to expand the territory of the SEZ by another 117.7 hectares due to the site in the municipal formation of the city of Bor. The total area of "Kulibin" reached 842.4 hectares. Since 2025, the direction "Increasing Investment Activity" has been implemented within the framework of the federal project of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy," which aims to create clear conditions for doing business, distribute risks between the state and investors, and expand systemic support for investment growth in gross regional product.
