Andrey Gneushev held an off-site meeting to support participants of the SVO in Pilna.
On June 8, 2026, at 17:58, Society The First Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, held an off-site meeting of the regional interdepartmental commission to support participants of the special military operation and their family members in Pilna.
Commission members met with veterans of the special military operation and relatives of SVO participants. Issues requiring assistance were raised. The discussion focused on providing support in processing various documents and receiving payments, addressing medical care issues, and rehabilitation, as well as assistance in everyday situations.
Evgeny Shirokov participated in the SVO since 2022 and recently returned home after being injured. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and needs rehabilitation resources. He will receive all necessary assistance. Issues raised by the mother of a deceased SVO participant, Natalia Pazina, who requested help in appointing necessary payments, were also addressed. She also asked for assistance in gasifying her private home.
"All veterans of the special operation and relatives of our fighters, with whom we communicated in Pilna, are under the care of the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' fund. They are in constant contact with their social coordinator. This is very important because they help to promptly resolve issues by interacting with other departments. There are already solutions to the requests voiced during the meetings, developed jointly with all commission participants. The format of such off-site meetings helps to see the situation on the ground and respond quickly to the problems faced by SVO veterans and their family members. But the most important thing is the individual approach to each life situation, which I emphasize in every municipality," said Andrey Gneushev.
The commission's work included the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' fund, Ekaterina Generalova, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and departments in the region.
At the meeting of the interdepartmental commission, all life situations raised by SVO participants and their family members were thoroughly examined, as well as a number of other issues that will improve the quality of support measures provided.
Acting head of the local government of the Pilna district, Dmitry Tsapin, and the head of the local government of the Gaginsky district, Pavel Kondakov, reported on how work with SVO participants and their families is organized in their territories and how interdepartmental interaction is conducted. Andrey Gneushev reminded that all issues raised by SVO participants and their family members must be thoroughly considered at the meetings of municipal interdepartmental commissions, which have been established in all districts.
The commission members also discussed proposals from the head of Arzamas, Chairman of the Council of Municipal Entities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Alexander Shchelokov, regarding the organization of work for representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' fund in municipalities.
