      Kindergartens need to be transitioned to a 12-hour workday for the convenience of working parents. As reported in an interview with RIA Novosti, this decision will allow residents of Nizhny Novgorod to calmly reach preschool institutions after their work shifts end.

      Such initiatives are especially relevant for young families in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the number of which sharply increased at the beginning of June - it was previously reported that a wedding boom was recorded: more than 400 couples got married in the Nizhny Novgorod region on June 6.       The author of the initiative explained that most working residents finish their workday at 6:00 PM. Possible options for the schedule of Nizhny Novgorod institutions are being considered, such as from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM or from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

      It was emphasized that the reform must begin with increasing the salaries of teachers and educators, who will bear the additional workload. Also, when organizing the new regime in the Nizhny Novgorod region, it is important to strictly consider the psycho-emotional state of children, for whom such a long stay in a group can become exhausting, and to maintain the possibility for parents to pick up their child earlier.
