According to the administration of the Volodarsk district, the work to update the area around the "Yubileiny" House of Culture was divided into several stages. The first step was the decision made in 2024 to restore the mosaic panel from 1978, located on the end of the Palace of Culture. "The panel 'Folk Art' became the starting point for the improvement of the square. It provided both color and architectural accents for a unified concept of improvement not only for the square but also for the entire area around the House of Culture. In 2024, more than 3,500 people voted for the improvement of the square near the 'Yubileiny' Palace of Culture as part of the project 'Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment,' and this year the updated public space will be a gift for the 70th anniversary of Volodarsk, which the townspeople will celebrate on June 13," emphasized Dmitry Tretyakov, head of the administration of the Volodarsk municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. He noted that the updated public space around the Palace of Culture has become a place of attraction for residents of all ages: mothers with strollers, elderly people resting here, and high school students who chose the square for their "Last Bell" ceremony. Today, there is a fountain, pedestrian paths, benches, swings, and a children's playground. A total of over 142 million rubles has been allocated for the project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" and within the framework of the All-Russian competition for small towns and historical settlements for the improvement of the area adjacent to the House of Culture.
