85% of the roster is formed: who will join Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo"

Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" continues its active work in the transfer market and will soon announce several newcomers. This was stated by the club's general director, Evgeny Zabuga, on the air of "Radio Randevu." According to him, when selecting players, the management focuses on several key criteria. The team invites hockey players capable of playing fast and physical hockey.

"If we want to go far and step far into the playoffs, we need people who can maintain a level of physical pressure, and people who must have character and sports anger," noted the manager.

In the coming week, the club plans to announce the signing of a right-handed forward. This forward is about 190 cm tall and is expected to fit well into the team's playing model as a winger. It is likely that this refers to 28-year-old Daniil Seroukh.

Additionally, the roster will be supplemented by an experienced defenseman. The club hopes that he will add emotions and leadership qualities to the team, as well as assist the captain and his assistants in working with young players. Earlier, insiders reported that 30-year-old Nikita Kamalov, who fits these characteristics, will continue his career in Nizhny Novgorod.

"Torpedo" has also reached an agreement with a North American right-handed defenseman. The player is currently competing in the Calder Cup semifinals, so the registration of his contract in the KHL is expected closer to July, after the completion of his agreement with the current club.

In addition, options are being developed for signing two more forwards, one of whom can play both center and wing, as well as two young promising defensemen.

As of today, about 85% of the roster in the form we wanted to see it has already been formed. But there is no limit to perfection. We continue to actively work in the transfer market. With a high degree of probability, about three more trades are planned, which I believe will be beneficial for the club both from a sports perspective and, hopefully, from a financial one," concluded Zabuga.

It was previously reported that Nikita Shavin signed a new contract with "Torpedo." The agreement is unilateral. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
