The "Gastronomic Christmas" starts for the fifth time in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Every Saturday during the summer, part of Rozhdestvenskaya Street will be pedestrian. On June 6, the "Gastronomic Rozhdestvenskaya" festival will begin its fifth season in Nizhny Novgorod. As in the previous year, the festival area will occupy part of Rozhdestvenskaya Street — from Shirokaya Street to Markina Square. Festival events will take place every Saturday until the end of summer — from 12:00 to 22:00. Admission is free. Each Saturday at the festival will have a theme. Thus, on June 6, the festival program will be dedicated to the theme "Start of Summer." Most of the program will take place around Markina Square. Here, from 12:00 to 22:00, shows, musical performances, raffles, master classes, lectures, and other events will continuously change. According to the organizers, Markina Square with an improvised stage will become the "heart" of the festival this season. At 15:20, the official opening of the festival will take place after the restaurant parade, which starts at 15:00 at the beginning of Rozhdestvenskaya Street (near the "Goose in Apples" restaurant). From 16:00 to 17:00, there will be a lemonade workshop from "Kofelike," from 17:00 to 18:00, an interactive event from Good Night Show, from 18:15 to 19:15 — a culinary battle "Okroshka vs. Beetroot Soup," from 19:15 to 20:00 — a DJ set from NEFEDOV, from 20:00 to 21:00 — a performance by the cover band PREKRASNO, and from 21:00 to 22:00 — a DJ set from AIKAN. In the "Relaxation Zone" (Markina Square), there will be a bookcrossing throughout the day, a board game tournament from Hobby Games from 13:00 to 20:00, and fitness training from 15:00 to 17:00. Also, at Markina Square, festival guests can expect a bachata master class at 16:30, a merengue class at 17:30, a Latin dance class at 18:30, and outdoor dancing from 19:30 to 20:30. From 13:00 to 18:00, there will be a "Creative Zone x Lecture Hall" for the whole family at Markina Square. The "Youth" team has prepared master classes on painting plaster figurines and creating collages "This is My Summer" (from 13:00 to 15:00). The "PSYCHOLOGY" center will hold an open dialogue with a psychologist at 15:00 on the topic "Modern Children. Parenting," where participants can ask questions to the psychologist and receive professional recommendations. At 16:00 and 16:30, there will be a master class on acrylic painting on canvas for children, and from 17:00 to 18:00, a book lecture "What is Directed Reading and How to Choose Books?" will take place. In this session, a bibliotherapist (a specialist who uses directed reading as a tool for psychological assistance) will help understand what it means to read "therapeutically," with benefit and pleasure. In the tea zone on Rozhdestvenskaya Street, there will be a tea ceremony from "Gorky Tea" from 13:00 to 14:00 and from 15:30 to 16:30. Admission to all events is free, and a detailed schedule of "Gastronomic Rozhdestvenskaya" will be posted on the festival's social media: Telegram channel and VK group, as well as on the official website: stolicazakatov.nn-afisha.ru.

      A festival zone will be organized throughout the area with a craft fair and expanded summer verandas, where tastings of drinks and dishes created specifically for "Gastronomic Rozhdestvenskaya" will take place. "Gastronomic Rozhdestvenskaya" is part of the multi-genre music festival "Capital of Sunsets," which will again take place this year at various city venues. The music program is scheduled for every summer weekend. Due to the "Gastronomic Rozhdestvenskaya" festival, from June 6 to August 29, every weekend (from 00:01 on Friday night to 05:00 on Sunday morning), traffic on Rozhdestvenskaya Street will be temporarily halted from Markina Square to Shirokaya Street.
