The fifth season of the "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" program has started.

      At the site of the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (KUPNO), a solemn ceremony was held to open the fifth season of the educational program "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." The project aimed at identifying and uniting young leaders with high potential is being implemented by KUPNO with the support of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Organization of the All-Russian Public Organization "Volunteers of Victory." The project's objectives align with the goals of the national project "Youth and Children." Earlier, the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, emphasized the project's role in preparing managers for various sectors of the region's economy. "The region always needs young leaders ready to lead and do everything possible for their small homeland and country, and the 'Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region' project helps them to unfold. It has already proven its demand and has become an important element of the region's personnel policy. In turn, we are ready to support promising Nizhny Novgorod residents in their desire to contribute to the region's development," noted Gleb Nikitin. The opening ceremony of the new season of the program was attended by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sergey Polovnikov, the Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ekaterina Solntseva, the Chairman of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod, Evgeny Chintsov, and the Minister of Personnel Policy of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Roman Markov. The training program was presented by the Vice-Rector of KUPNO, the head of the "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" program, Maria Samodelkina. Participants can expect 40 weeks of training under the guidance of more than 90 federal and regional speakers. The program includes four in-person and three off-site educational modules. Meetings in the format of open dialogue, facilitation sessions, risk sessions, panel discussions, networking sessions, workshops, and business games are planned; off-site educational intensives will be held at the "Senezh" management workshop, the Skolkovo innovation center, the Autonomous Non-Profit Educational Institution "Innopolis University," as well as at leading enterprises in the region. A total of 300 participants have been selected for the educational program. Based on the results of the individual ranking, the top 150 winners of the program will receive diplomas from the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and certificates of advanced training from KUPNO. Additionally, they will undergo comprehensive competency diagnostics, receive career support, and assistance with employment from the youth career center "KUPNO.Start." "Out of 900 graduates and winners of the 'Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region' project, 634 people have already been employed. Moreover, interest in the project continues to grow year by year. Following the selection for the fifth season, we set a record, receiving 19,836 applications for participation. From these, we selected the 300 best of the best - leaders of public and non-profit organizations, student union activists, social entrepreneurs, volunteers, and government and municipal employees. In the coming months, we will not only learn together but also implement important social projects and assist our fighters in the Special Military Operation," said Maria Samodelkina. An open dialogue with public figure, Colonel of the National Guard, and Chairman of the Board of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, Zakhar Prilepin, also took place on the opening day of the new season of the program. It is worth noting that starting in 2025, a national project "Youth and Children" has been implemented in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin, which addresses tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities." The national project aims to create opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, fostering responsible and highly moral individuals. At the center of the national project are the construction and renovation of schools, the professional development of teachers, the creation of new teaching methodologies, and comfortable learning conditions. Special attention is given to supporting talented youth, including young specialists. The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism."
