The fifth season of "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" has started in KUPNO.

      On June 5, 2026, at 12:40, Politics At the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the opening of the fifth season of the educational program "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" took place. The project aims to identify and support young people with leadership potential and is implemented with the support of the regional government, the presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities," and the "Volunteers of Victory" movement. Its objectives align with the goals of the national project "Youth and Children." Earlier, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, noted that the project helps prepare management personnel for various sectors of the region's economy.

      "The region always needs young leaders who are ready to lead and do everything possible for their small homeland and country, and the project 'Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region' helps them to reveal their potential," emphasized the governor.

      According to him, the program has already become an important element of the region's personnel policy, and the authorities are ready to support promising Nizhny Novgorod residents who aspire to contribute to its development. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Sergey Polovnikov, Deputy Chair of the Regional Government Ekaterina Solntseva, Chairman of the Duma of Nizhny Novgorod Evgeny Chintsov, and Minister of Personnel Policy Roman Markov.

      As reported by Maria Samodelkina, Vice-Rector of the KUPNO and program leader, participants can expect 40 weeks of training with the involvement of more than 90 federal and regional experts. The program includes four in-person and three off-site modules, open dialogues, facilitation and risk sessions, panel discussions, business games, and other educational formats. Off-site intensives are also planned at the "Senezh" management workshop, the Skolkovo Innovation Center, the Innopolis University, and leading enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      For participation in the fifth season, 300 individuals were selected. Based on the results of the training, a ranking will be formed, from which 150 winners will be determined. They will receive diplomas from the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and certificates of advanced training from KUPNO. Additionally, they will have access to competency diagnostics, career support, and assistance in employment through the youth career center "KUPNO.Start."

      Since the project's inception, 634 out of 900 of its graduates and winners have found employment. She also reported that a record number of applications were submitted for the fifth season - 19,836. From these, 300 participants were selected, including leaders of public and non-profit organizations, student activists, social entrepreneurs, volunteers, and state and municipal employees.

      On the day of the new season's opening, a meeting was held between program participants and public figure, Colonel of the National Guard, and Chairman of the Board of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, Zakhar Prilepin.
