A resident of Pavlov received 4 years in prison for the brutal beating of his wife.

      On June 5, 2026, at 11:49, Incidents: The Pavlovsky City Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region sentenced a local resident who was found guilty of intentionally causing serious harm to health. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

      As established by the court, on the evening of September 18, 2025, the man, while in a state of alcohol intoxication, had an argument with his wife. He struck his spouse several times on the head and body. The woman sustained serious injuries that were life-threatening.

      At the hearing, the defendant only partially admitted his guilt. On June 2, he was sentenced to four years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime colony. Immediately after the verdict was announced, the man was taken into custody in the courtroom.

      In addition, the civil claim of the prosecutor was satisfied. A compensation for moral damages of 1,000,000 rubles was awarded to the victim from the convicted individual. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
