Penza's "Diesel" has become a partner club of Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo".

      Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" has chosen its partner club for the upcoming KHL season. It will be the Penza "Diesel." General Director of "Torpedo" Evgeny Zabuga and Executive Director of "Diesel" Sergey Bogatskov signed the agreement. The ceremony took place in the conference hall of the VOLGA Arena.

      Indeed, "Torpedo" is entering a new historical stage in its development. This year and the new season are especially important and significant for us, as it marks the 80th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod hockey and the "Torpedo" club. Due to the staff changes and the need to conclude a sports cooperation agreement, we deliberately chose a reliable partner in the form of the hockey club "Diesel," noted Zabuga.

      The General Director emphasized that "Diesel" is located in a neighboring region and has good infrastructure and transport accessibility, which is particularly important in modern conditions. The need for a partner club arose after the closure of the VHL farm team "Torpedo-Gorky." In the new season, the team will not participate in the tournament. As Evgeny Zabuga explained earlier, maintaining its own farm club has become significantly more expensive—expenses have increased by about twofold.
