Artem Kavinov checked the progress of gasification in the northern districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      June 4, 2026 10:58 Society State Duma Deputy Artem Kavinov, along with the General Director of "Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Nizhny Novgorod" and "Gazprom Gas Distribution Nizhny Novgorod" Mikhail Morozov and Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Denis Bakiyev, visited the municipal district of the city of Bor, Shakhunya, and the Uren district of the Nizhny Novgorod region on a working visit. The participants inspected several significant facilities being constructed as part of the gasification program for northern territories: the gas distribution station "Bypass," the section of the inter-settlement gas pipeline to Shakhunya, and the starting point of the intra-settlement gas pipeline. As noted by Mikhail Morozov, all work is proceeding on schedule, in full compliance with the instructions of the President and the agreement signed between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and Gazprom. The implementation of these projects will create the opportunity to connect 1,355 households, schools, hospitals, and enterprises in Shakhunya to network fuel. "It is important for us to provide residents of the most remote villages and settlements with natural gas. For the gasification of northern districts, we are constructing more than 200 km of inter-settlement gas pipelines. As a result, over 3,500 families will gain access to the gas supply system," explained Mikhail Morozov. "People are waiting for gas, and our common task is to ensure that it reaches homes without unnecessary delays. I thank Mikhail Yurievich for his constant attention to the project, his interest in the prompt completion of work, and his readiness to personally visit the sites. This format of joint work helps to promptly resolve emerging issues and maintain a high pace of program implementation," noted Artem Kavinov following the visit. According to him, gasification remains one of the important directions of the People's Program of the United Russia party. Today, the level of gasification in the Nizhny Novgorod region has reached 86%. Gas has already reached 44 municipal and urban districts out of 50. "I would like to highlight the social gasification program, which has been implemented at the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2021. Thanks to it, residents can bring gas to the borders of their land plots for free. The northern part of the region has long awaited large-scale solutions in the field of gasification. Today, these solutions are already being implemented in practice. We continue to keep the situation under control," said Artem Kavinov. According to Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, over the past five years, more than 43,000 contracts for technological connection have already been concluded in the region. This year, a new gasification program for 2026-2030 has started. The construction of gas pipelines is planned, including in the districts of Shakhunya, Semyonovsky, Bor, Sokolsky, Chkalovsk, as well as in the Varnavinsky, Gorodetsky, and Uren districts. In addition, the program includes the laying of networks in the Tonkin, Tonshayevsky, Krasnobakovsky, Koverninsky, Voskresensky, Sharangsky, and Vetluzhsky municipal districts.
