The "Cyber Boy" from Beeline will help the "Cyber Grandma" fight against phone scammers.
On June 3, 2026, at 12:26, Society: The AI model "Cyber Grandma," which communicates with scammers online pretending to be an elderly client, has gained an assistant - "Cyber Boy." It is designed to counter tricks aimed at teenagers. The operator plans to expand the cyber family so that the scammer encounters an AI interlocutor corresponding to the gender and age of the actual phone number owner during any call.
Here's how it works: The AI algorithm analyzes the scammer's approach, then a large language model (LLM) generates a response based on the context of the conversation, which is converted into spoken language. This all happens in a fraction of a second, and the scammer receives responses to their remarks, thinking they are speaking with a real person. As a result, they waste time and resources that could have been spent on deceiving Beeline customers.
Teenagers are the second most significant group at heightened risk of phone fraud, with scammers often targeting only elderly people. When addressing a teenager, the fraudster may introduce themselves as a deputy headmaster or school principal, an official from the Ministry of Education, or a member of an examination board, a college or university admissions committee, etc. Depending on the story, they may demand that the child urgently sign some documents electronically, register on an educational portal, join a student chat, participate in a survey, etc. "Cyber Boy" is trained to respond appropriately and convincingly to such approaches, and he is even more natural in intonation and sentence construction than his older "relative."
The solution works for all users of the "My Security" service under the free basic tariff.
Petr Alferov, anti-fraud director at Beeline: "We continue to work on strengthening the protection of our most vulnerable clients and are launching 'Cyber Boy' ahead of the summer holidays: so that children are not exposed to unnecessary risks and remain safe, while their parents can be at ease about them."
