T2 presented a record-scale installation at the NUR festival in Kazan.
On June 3, 2026, at 12:50, Culture and Leisure T2, a Russian mobile operator, became the title partner of the sixth NUR festival in Kazan. The company presented the largest installation in the entire history of the project. For the first time, the audience saw the work from T2 and the SETAP studio during the opening concert at the Kazan Circus. T2 also supported the international mapping contest at the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin.
The PAX installation from T2 and the SETAP studio became the largest in all the years of the festival. The audience could see it at the Kazan Circus—first during the grand interdisciplinary performance Realtime as part of the opening concert, and then as one of the internal installations of NUR. PAX consists of 1200 LED sticks, and to bring it to life, 12 controlled winches were needed.
Additionally, T2 supported the international mapping contest at the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin, which became the most popular location of the festival: over three days, 30,000 viewers attended the mapping show. Five authors from China, France, Italy, and Russia presented their works. The winners were SKGPLUS (China), MOTOREFISICO (Italy), and "Meow Studio" (Russia).
As the title partner of the NUR festival, T2 recognizes the growing popularity of the event and makes media art more accessible. The operator organized a free bus route to the main spot of the NUR festival at the Uram extreme park. To expand the boundaries of media art, T2, together with bars and restaurants in Kazan, presented an unusual set menu in the signature magenta color, inspired by digital art. Another direction supported by T2 was the festival's music program.
In 2026, the NUR festival was attended by 155,000 people. 63% of the guests came to Kazan from other cities.
Konstantin Gagarinov, director of the Kazan branch of T2:
"NUR for Kazan is no longer just a festival, but one of the city's hallmarks. Therefore, we enthusiastically supported the event in 2026 and, together with the organizers, were able to make it truly diverse. The largest installation in the entire history of the festival gathered a full house at the Kazan Circus, which confirms that media art is ceasing to be a local phenomenon and is becoming a common way for the author to communicate with a wide audience."
