Danger zone: photos of the collapsing house on Tsiolkovsky Street have been published
On June 3, 2026, at 12:18, the Society reported that access to the collapsing house No. 7/1 on Tsiolkovsky Street in the Sormovsky district has been closed, according to a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" on the scene.
Now, the part of the building that has developed cracks is fenced off with a barrier and warning tape.
Nearby, there is a notice asking not to park vehicles near the house due to the risk of facade elements collapsing.
It should be noted that cracks on the walls of the nine-story building were recorded back in 2021. Initially, major repairs of the building were included in the program for 2041-2043. After an examination, the relevant commission recognized the need to postpone the deadlines and scheduled the work for 2025. However, repairs have not yet begun.
Residents of the apartment building complained to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, about the condition of the house. According to them, the condition of the house continues to deteriorate, and new cracks are appearing. A criminal case has been initiated.
Earlier, it was reported that a state of heightened readiness was introduced in the Kanavinsky district due to the cracked house No. 20 on Gorokhovetskaya Street.
