Danger zone: photos of the crumbling house on Tsiolkovsky Street have been published.

      June 3, 2026 12:18 Society Access to the crumbling house No. 7/1 on Tsiolkovsky Street in the Sormovsky district has been blocked, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent from the scene.

      Now, the part of the building that has developed cracks is fenced off with a barrier and warning tape.

      Nearby, there is a notice asking not to park vehicles near the house due to the risk of facade elements collapsing.

      It is worth noting that cracks on the walls of the nine-story building were recorded back in 2021. Initially, major repairs of the building were included in the program for 2041-2043. After an inspection, the relevant commission recognized the need to postpone the deadlines and scheduled the work for 2025. However, repairs have not yet begun.

      Residents of the apartment building complained to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, about the state of the house. According to them, the condition of the house continues to deteriorate, and new cracks are appearing. A criminal case has been initiated.
