On June 3, 2026, 13:23 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod region ranked fifth in the rating of regions by the level of development of public-private partnerships (PPP) for 2025, which is compiled annually by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The rating is based on three indicators: the dynamics of PPP project implementation in 2025, the experience of their creation in previous years, and the activity of government authorities in supporting such initiatives. A total of 341 new agreements were concluded last year for a total amount of 805 billion rubles, of which 83% were private investments. For the third consecutive year, Moscow remained the leader of the rating, with Perm and Khabarovsk regions taking the second and third places, and Samara region in fourth place. Nizhny Novgorod region rounded out the top five, demonstrating high efficiency in attracting private investments and developing infrastructure projects. According to Maxim Kolesnikov, the first deputy minister of economic development, the rating encourages regions to actively use PPP mechanisms to improve the urban environment and attract investments.
