      The director of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, Nadezhda Shevelilova, and the chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO), Ivan Kalmykov, signed an agreement on cooperation.

      "History and literature are inextricably linked, and the interests and tasks of our organizations intersect. For example, this includes preserving memory and heritage, patriotic education, and the development of literary creativity. Therefore, we initiated the signing of a cooperation agreement, within which we will exchange experiences and ideas, conduct joint cultural projects, and educational programs for Nizhny Novgorod residents of different ages," said the director of the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, Nadezhda Shevelilova.

      The agreement, in particular, implies military-historical education in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the development of reading culture, and increasing interest in regional literature, consulting and expert assistance, promoting the prestige of the professions "writer" and "historian" in Russia, conducting joint conferences, seminars, exhibitions, public discussions, and other events.

      "The signing of the cooperation agreement opens up opportunities for coordinating the work of our organizations in the field of historical education and patriotic upbringing. I believe that the specific practical activities of our colleagues, members of the branches in preserving historical memory, supporting and implementing creative projects, are the foundation for the sustainable prosperity of our Motherland. I am confident that our agreement will serve as a basis for new patriotic projects," noted the chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Ivan Kalmykov.

      Also, as part of the signing of the agreement, a presentation of the book "The History of the Village of Bolshoye Kozino" took place at the "Kupno. Start" venue. This local history research by Vyacheslav Slapoguzov, who did a colossal job restoring the history of one of the oldest settlements on the right bank—from the estate of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery to the present day.
