In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the results of the preliminary voting of "United Russia" have been summarized.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the results of the preliminary voting of "United Russia" have been summarized.

Today, June 1, a meeting of the regional organizing committee of the United Russia party took place in Nizhny Novgorod, where the official results of the preliminary voting in the region were summarized. The procedure took place from May 25 to May 31.

Candidates who received the highest number of votes will be nominated by the party for the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region. More than 150,000 voters participated in the voting, with about 10 candidates competing for one mandate.

"Through the preliminary voting procedure, the party demonstrates its openness. Firstly, anyone who wished could participate as candidates. Secondly, in the most important issues, we rely on the opinion of the residents. We are very pleased that a large number of Nizhny Novgorod residents took advantage of this opportunity and supported the participants of the preliminary voting. We sincerely thank all residents who did not remain on the sidelines and cast their votes for those candidates they consider worthy of further participation in the elections," noted the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, head of the United Russia party faction in the Legislative Assembly, Alexey Antonov.

As officially noted, the voting was conducted in strict accordance with the established requirements.

"It is very important that the voting took place with high citizen activity and without violations. We understand that this is already an established and important mechanism for the entire country for selecting candidates for subsequent participation in the main elections. And only one party uses it - United Russia," emphasized the president of NNGU named after N.I. Lobachevsky, Roman Strongin.

The members of the organizing committee recorded the final protocols, based on which, taking into account the results of the preliminary voting, lists of candidates will be formed for subsequent nomination for the main elections.

"The results of the preliminary voting in the Nizhny Novgorod region show high activity of residents and trust in the very procedure. Of course, this is just the first step. Now the collection of proposals for the People's Program of United Russia is underway, and everyone can contribute their initiatives for the development of our region. And in the elections in September, after familiarizing themselves with the candidates' programs, they should focus on the prosperity of our Nizhny Novgorod region," said the head of the Nizhny Novgorod regional executive committee of the United Russia party, Dmitry Filipenko.

Let us remind you that residents of the country could follow the vote counting live. Information about the results of the preliminary voting can be found on the procedure's website pg.er.ru.
