Andrey Gneushev handed over the keys to new cars to the mobile teams of the "Children in the Family" service.
On June 2, 2026, at 09:00, Society On June 1, the first deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Andrey Gneushev, handed over the keys to 21 vehicles to mobile teams of the "Children in the Family" service. The solemn ceremony took place at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. The new vehicles will operate based on social institutions in the region that specialize in assisting families with children.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Igor Sedykh, the director of the ANO "Resource Center 'Children in the Family'" Svetlana Meller, as well as the heads of social institutions in the region.
The first six vehicles for the mobile teams were purchased in April 2025 and handed over to the ANO "Children in the Family." Five mobile teams regularly visit families in the city of Arzamas, the city of Vyksa, the Gorodetsky and Serny districts, as well as the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod, and one operates throughout the region.
"It is very symbolic that on Children's Day we are handing over 21 vehicles to social institutions that specifically help families with children. The project started last year, and today mobile teams regularly visit all over the Nizhny Novgorod region. The key task is to respond promptly to crisis situations in families. Over the year of work, specialists have made more than 1,500 visits, providing assistance and activities to nearly four thousand families. Behind these numbers are real stories of families with children who received support and assistance. And thanks to the decision of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, we are now launching another 21 mobile teams. This will allow for more visits, helping and resolving difficult situations in families," noted Andrey Gneushev.
Additional mobile teams will operate in Nizhny Novgorod—in the Avtozavodsky and Kanavinsky districts, as well as in the city of Arzamas. For the first time, specialists will begin work in the territory of the city of Dzerzhinsk, as well as in the Balakhna, Bor, Varnavino, Vacha, Vetluga, Voznesensk, Volodarsk, Vorotynsk, Kulebaki, Lyskovo, Pilny, Semyonov, Sechenov, Sosnovsky, Uren, Shatkovsky, and Shakhunsky districts.
Mobile teams operate within the framework of the "Unified Model of Assistance to Children" concept and are aimed at supporting families in crisis situations without separating them from their children. The teams respond promptly to signals from villages and settlements that are remote from social institutions. This is a valuable contribution to the work of achieving the goals and objectives of the national project "Family" in the region.
The mobile teams consist of psychologists and social workers. Depending on the situation in the family, narrow-profile specialists are involved: defectologists, specialists in the selection of rehabilitation technical means, and other experts.
"Our specialists do not just respond to calls in remote areas—they provide comprehensive support to families in difficult situations. The teams conduct diagnostics, provide emergency psychological and consultative assistance, develop an individual crisis exit plan, and also provide families with targeted assistance—food, clothing, building materials, and other necessary items. Additionally, our teams, together with schools and libraries of municipalities, conduct events for families with children," said Svetlana Meller.
It is worth noting that the "Unified Model of Assistance to Children" concept was developed by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy of the region in collaboration with the People's Front project "Region of Care." It is a continuation of the project "Prevention of Social Orphanhood among Children under 4 Years Old," initiated by the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of Russia, Maria Lvova-Belova.
The "Mobile Teams" project was developed as part of the implementation of the national project "Family," which includes activities aimed at the comprehensive development of families: expanding support measures, creating conditions for active longevity of the older generation, and ensuring quality and accessible medical care. National projects are being implemented in the country by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
