The authorities will seize three plots for the construction of the bypass of Balakhna and Zavolzhye.

      On June 1, 2026, at 11:40, the Society of the Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region ordered the expropriation of land plots for state needs. The document was published on the agency's website.

      The territories are necessary for the implementation of the project for the construction of the R-152 Shopsha - Ivanovo - Nizhny Novgorod highway on the bypass section of Balakhna and Zavolzhye, the second launch complex.

      Three plots in the village of Sovkhoznoye in the Balakhna district are subject to expropriation. Two of them are owned by individuals. The area of the expropriated parts is 18 and 551 sq. m, respectively. Another plot with an area of 567 sq. m is designated for expropriation on agricultural land with a permitted use for summer cottage construction.

      The rights holders will be compensated in accordance with the legislation on valuation activities. The State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD" has been instructed to determine the amount of compensation, negotiate with the owners, and prepare expropriation agreements. In case of refusal to sign the documents, the issue may be resolved in court. Payments will be made from the regional budget.

      Let us remind you that the bypass project involves the construction of 24.6 km of road and seven artificial structures. In 2026, its cost is estimated at 30.4 billion rubles. The concession agreement has not yet been concluded; the authorities are considering the possibility of attracting private investors.

      The first section of the bypass was put into operation in 2008. To fully complete the route, another 24.6 km and seven bridges need to be built.
