Ardatov utility workers will pay 3.1 million rubles for the pollution of Lemeti.

      On June 1, 2026, at 12:54, the Society of Rosprirodnadzor demands to recover over 3 million rubles from the municipal unitary enterprise "Vodostok" of Ardatov for damage to the Lemety River. This was reported by the press service of the agency. Violations were identified during the inspection of the wastewater treatment facilities of the enterprise, reconstructed under the federal project "Health Improvement of the Volga." Specialists recorded exceedances of the permissible discharge standards for pollutants in the wastewater that flowed into the Lemety River. The agency's experts calculated the amount of damage caused to the river. However, the enterprise refused to voluntarily compensate for it, after which Rosprirodnadzor turned to the court. The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, having studied the case materials, fully supported the position of the supervisory authority and ruled to recover the entire amount of damage from the municipal unitary enterprise "Vodostok."
