Six hockey players will leave "Torpedo" after their contracts end on May 31.

      The hockey club announced personnel changes ahead of the new season. Six hockey players will leave "Torpedo" after their contracts expire on May 31.

      There have been further changes in the roster of Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo." Several players' contracts with the team expire on May 31. Defensemen Denis Alexandrov, Sergey Boykov, and Mikhail Naumenko, as well as forwards Maxim Letunov, Shane Prince, and Dmitry Shevchenko will continue their careers with other clubs. The club thanked the players for their performances in Nizhny Novgorod and wished them success in the future. This was reported by the press service of HC "Torpedo."

      At the same time, the Nizhny Novgorod team made qualifying offers to Vladislav Firstov, Yegor Sokolov, Anton Silaev, Nikita Rozhkov, and Kirill Steklov. According to the KHL regulations, starting June 1, all listed players, except Silaev, will receive the status of restricted free agents. Until June 20, they will be able to consider offers from other league clubs.

      If one of the players agrees to a contract with another team, "Torpedo" will have the right to match that offer and retain the player or decline and receive compensation for his transfer. If no offers are received by June 20, the rights to the players will remain with the Nizhny Novgorod club. A special status is provided for Anton Silaev. His qualifying offer is mandatory, so the defenseman will not enter the restricted free agent market. The sports rights to the player in the KHL are automatically secured for "Torpedo" for another two seasons.
