      Investigators have reopened a criminal case following complaints from residents.

      Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrikin has requested a report on the criminal case related to the condition of the road in the Krasnoslobodsk rural council of the urban district of Bor. The reason was a request from local residents who again complained about the lack of normal transportation communication with several settlements. This was reported by the information center of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

      The issue concerns the road leading to the villages of Yezhovo and Svobodnoye, as well as to the gardening associations "Razvilie" and "Astra-1". According to residents, there has been no asphalt covering here for a long time. After rains, the dirt road washes away, deep pits and ruts appear on it, making passage difficult.

      People note that the problems are experienced not only by motorists. At certain times, difficulties arise for emergency services and food suppliers who have to reach the settlements via the damaged section. Meanwhile, numerous appeals to various authorities, as the applicants claim, have not led to a resolution of the issue. As reported by the Investigative Committee, the situation was already under the control of the central office of the agency. Previously, the regional investigative department had opened criminal cases four times, but these decisions were subsequently canceled by the supervisory authority.

      Now the criminal case has been reopened. Alexander Bastrikin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee for the Nizhny Novgorod region, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to present a report on the progress of the investigation and the measures being taken to restore residents' rights to quality road infrastructure. The execution of the instruction has been placed under control in the central office of the agency.
